Scrub-A-Pup was established in 1996 by Dave and Chrissie Lyons.
They both had just recently finished their college education in San Diego, and moved back to the area with their trusty mutt Mocha. They realized the Peninsula lacked such a place to wash their dog without the mess and backache of doing it at home. After consulting Mocha, they designed and built the first dog wash in San Mateo. Now dog owners have the convenience of washing their pups in a clean and friendly environment outside of their home.
